Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission

The Government of India has taken a strong step with the launch of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission on 23rd November 2009. Under the umbrella of "National Action Plan on Climate Change", Government has given a holistic approach for development of solar energy at all the spheres. The division and spread of 20,000 MW over a time period of 20 years has been adopted as a step-by-step progress towards making India self sufficient in terms of Solar.
